A beautiful combination of great ingredients creates this “berry” nice smoothie!   

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 of a cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1 x banana
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 cup of pear juice
  • 1 dstsp of flax seed oil

 

Method:

Place all in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes enough for two people for breakfast or reduce proportions to make a smaller amount for a snack.

Try raspberries, strawberries or blackberries in place of the blueberries or any fruit you like. Add protein powder and a generous teaspoon of barley grass or spirulina for extra nutritional support. If your body is well supplied with nutrients it is less likely to cause you pangs of desire for the wrong types of food.    

 

Health Tip: Make sure your protein powder is non-denatured (by heat). A quality product will say this on the label.
