Hi There I have Chrons disease and I am considering doing your detox to start the year with a healthy inside. However I am getting married in 3 months, and I have lost a great amount of weight. My concern is that because I will be restricting my calorie intake so much during the detox that when I come off it, once I start eating again I will put on a lot of weight. Will this happen? If I go ahead and do the detox, how can I avoid this happening? Thanks Crystal
Brett's Answer:
Hi Crystal, While doing the detox you should not be restricting your calorie intake at all. There is no limit to serving size and you can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you like. Lots of juices and yoghurt smoothies with milk are also helpful. Protein powder is also recommend (try our Detox 'n Slim protein drink) as this helps keep blood sugar balanced. Many people find that they lose a few kilos from removing build up from the intestine and this can stay off long term. You should not experience any muscle wasting from the detox, in fact if you lift w few weights you can actually build muscle mass while detoxing.
